Why? Because I've extended the Live Like Your Nail Summer Party-a-Thon end date to August 31 (it was July 31). Too many gals wanted to throw a party but simply needed more time. I'm happy to do so because the more we are all loosening up and laughing a bit, the better. Here's a great photo of Kittygayle M. who threw a Live Like Your Nail Color party for her girlfriends.

Planning a Party is Easy:

1. Decide on the party date, time & location. Week night or weekend? At home or at a salon? There's no one way do to it right! It's ALL GOOD.

Sometimes people ask me if women are truly that into painting their finger or toe nails. My experience shows that often it is the most composed, put-together, professional women who get the most kick out of wild, fun colors - especially on their toes! Just the other day a gal e-mailed me this photo. Now that's what I call Freedom Toes! Likely the gal who got the idea and went all out needed to feel some temporary freedom from her job, kids, husband, cluttered house, dirty dishes, and stack of unopened mail.

I say three cheers for her putting everything and everyone else on hold so she could have a few minutes of laugh-out-loud fun just for HER! One of her girlfriends needs to congratulate her and keep the spirit of liberty going by throwing a Live Like Your Nail Color Party. I'm just sayin'!

Last week, my best girlfriend and Girlfriend We Gotta Talk radio show co-host Susie Galvez and I took a shot by submitting a video audition for a show idea on the new Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN).

We thought it was a decent video and idea, BUT it was disqualified, rejected, and not posted. Why? Because they told us they are only accepting videos from INDIVIDUALS, not pairs! (Who knew? We didn't!)

Believe us, we were BUMMED, but immediately decided that even Oprah won't split us up! We are sticking together.
